Posts are every Friday, usually some quality old sh*t but sometimes promotional posts or "reviews". We do all we can to make sure we don't post stuff that (1) You can still reasonably buy from the artist directly, (2) You can reasonably buy secondhand for cheap, (3) You can download easily elsewhere, (4) The artist(s) asks us not to for any reason. Red Tide - Rogue MC's (1998)

 


 

Sorry! Wow I totally forgot it was Friday, hence the very late post right here. Oh well, luckily I made it before midnight at least, and I had this gem ready to go thanks to the homie Treidoiunu.

Red Tide was a group of rappers out of Florida active in the late 90's and early 00's. They released mostly singles and EP's along with a number of side projects and unofficial promo albums. Rogue MC's is their only official album and showcases what they're all about. Strictly B-Boy culture lyrical hip hop. Catchy, witty and DIY.

    Love these guys. Excellent lyricism and beats. One of them is still around and released a sci-fi rap album last year.

    Actually that doesn't surprise me, I've had some issues with that drive recently. Really frustrating. The files on my itunes are fine I'll just upload those. Retry tomorrow.
