More Northwest goodness this week with Tru-ID's "Stranded" from 2006!
Tru-ID is a Seattle rapper/producer who runs with the Undercaste crowd. You might know him for his collabo album with Ricky Pharoe, who appears here on Tru-ID's "Stranded" album (I believe it's his debut?)
Tru-ID has a really strong presence on the mic and can definitely rap. The sound of this project, it's produced by someone named Isaac Meek, definitely incorporates the NW version of G-Funk, which is cool, but the rhymes definitely stick out the most here. Features include Ricky Pharoe, Latin Rose, Neema, Lamar Real, and Willie Wil. Check it out below!
